I took photos with people in them. I don't know if they will turn out, but I think I'm going to continue to try and shoot some people each time I go out. I think one of the things that I'm becoming interested in is the interaction that people have with these historical places. So I figured if I want to continue shooting people I should start looking at images with people in them. That's where Markus Hartel comes in.

I love it because it is real, there are no models or props, just the world as we see it but are often to busy to actually look at. When you start to look at everday people and everyday life on the street through a camera you start to notice things that you never did before. Capturing life as it happens with string conception makes a beautiful image. Marcus Hartels shots of New York are incredible, he shoots in black and white and his simplistic approach to capturing the people and places of New York I find truly inspiring.

There is something about the streets of New York the have an edge about them unlike any street photography I have ever seen.
