From an early age, Jobs was fascinated with building things. He proved to be bright from a very young age, and consequently, the young boy skipped several school grades and noted school as being very boring.
Soon, he moved to a new town and attended Homestead High School. The inventor recalls experimenting with psychedelics during this time. He accredits these experiences to be more open to creative education. Steve Jobs recalled feeling unchallenged and also bored during this time. Consequently, he dropped out after one semester without telling his parents.
Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak were introduced in by mutual friends. The two got along thanks to their shared love of technology! Consequently, they attended the Homebrew Computer Club together. Here, the duo created the first computer with a typewriter-like keyboard. Additionally, Steve Jobs strived to create the most user-friendly devices he possibly could. Steve Jobs had three children with Laurene Powell Jobs and one child from his previous relationship. Lisa Brennan-Jobs, now a 42 year old author and a Harvard graduate, had a different experience growing up with her father than her half-siblings.
Since Lisa was the offspring of a long-term, on-and-off relationship, Jobs denied being her father. This consequently set the stage for years to come of both Lisa and her mother, Chrisann Brennan, fighting for Jobs to pay alimony and other living expenses. Years later, once Lisa and Jobs became closer and spent time together, money was still an issue in their relationship. Steve Jobs was a character who evoked strong emotions. Frugal and brilliant, the late Apple co-founder was also commonly seen as abrasive and sometimes even cheap.
These discrepancies may be due to the way this number was calculated, or exactly which assets were attributed to Jobs at the time. Either way, it's a LOT of money, but there's more to this story.
